Romans 10:13-15/ How to Share the Gospel

13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" Romans 10:13-15

"… everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved," what an amazing promise! Paul goes on to ask a series of rhetorical questions related to that promise, and his point is that people must hear the Gospel message. Some faithful believer-- meek and hopeful-- must take the bold step of sharing the Good News in anticipation that God would save someone.

Sharing the Gospel can be awkward, nerve-racking, and disappointing at times—but it's necessary. And for those who are serious about advancing God's Kingdom, it helps to have a simple, clear Gospel presentation memorized. Here's the one we teach at Roots—it's called "The 3 Circles."

If you'd like to learn this method you can watch this video. Then, you can practice writing out the method using the steps I've listed below.

1. Brokenness—ask if they see brokenness in the world and in themselves …
2. God’s Perfect Design—explain God's original design …
3. Sin—explain how sin separated us from God and His original design …
4. Jesus—share how Jesus was God's plan to restore us to His original design …
5. Turn and Believe—Explain these two steps as the way to be restored …
6. Grow and Go—Explain these two lifestyle changes after putting faith in Jesus …
7. Ask if the person wants turn from their sins and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Lord willing, Roots would be a church where every follower of Jesus is confident in sharing the Gospel with others in hopes that many would call on the name of the Lord and be saved!
