Psalm 119:18 / Lord, Help Us See

Hey friends, it's Pastor Kevin Black here. We are so excited to start up our weekly devotionals again after a timely break! I know there are many of you who recently signed up to receive these devotionals, so I want to say welcome and we are honored to have you join us as we dive into God's Word.

Our vision here is that we all glean truth from God's word and apply it to our lives. We also want to love the church well by having another place where folks can submit prayer requests and needs, which you can do by following the link at the bottom of each devotional.

The devotionals will be sent from myself, Pastor Kevin Gibbs, Pastor Dave, and other contributors every Wednesday, usually in the mornings.

To start, would you join me in praying for God to move through these devotionals?

Pray that we would see the beauty of Christ and the Gospel message in the Word of God:

"Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law." Psalm 119:18

Pray that we would learn to feast on the Word of God, which provides nourishment for our souls:

"But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

Pray that God would search our hearts and reveal any areas where we need to turn from sin, seek forgiveness, and move forward in grace and power:

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Pray that God would grant us wisdom and guidance through His word:

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
